At New Albany Methodist, we aim to help each and every person to grow a deep and abiding faith in God. We believe this happens through spending time daily with God, giving generously of our time, resources and talents, and participating in small groups. These are three of the 6 Great Ideas of New Albany Methodist.
Ways to Grow Your Faith through Small Groups
RUN WITH WINGS!!
Beginning January 12th at 7:00 AM, we will kick off another great year with Run With Wings.
This group challenges you body, mind and soul. We begin each meeting indoors with a devotion and a prayer. This will prepare us to head outside for a run or walk. Each week we will increase our goal and work our way to completing a 5K together. We meet at 7:00 AM at the Starbucks on Market Street in New Albany. Please dress for the weather, it can be cold! We will use the Couch to 5K program to help us all prepare to run and walk our way to a successful 5K on April 12. 2014.
We will be participating in the Get Off Your Can 5K here in New Albany. All ages and athletic abilities are encouraged. We will break up intogroups according to our goals. To register for the race click here!
Come, run, walk and have fun ending hunger!! April 12. 2014 at New Albany Links Golf Club.
Run With Wings – This cool group of runners and walkers will gather beginning in January 2014. Come and be a part of this group of men and women committed to living a healthier more active lifestyle with God as our primary training partner. Participants run or walk on Sunday mornings and prepare for a 5k event. Our 5K for 2014 is Get off Your Can, run/walk to End Hunger at the New Albany Links Golf Club. New Albany Methodist is partnering with fellow churches and their youth as they experience the 30 Hour Famine. The race will benefit a local hunger ministry. This group is open to all ages and fitness levels. Come as you are and prepare to be transformed! We will meet this Sunday morning!
Parents of Teens – This group is an excellent support and resource for parents of teenagers. Parents gather together and study the same lessons their teens are learning during their youth hour. While the conversations are separate (youth with youth and parents with parents) this group opens new doors of communication and encourages faithful learning as a family.
Agape – a faithful group of mature adults who enjoy gathering together for Bible study, prayer and fellowship. If you are looking for a group of faithful friends, this is the group for you!
