who we are
New Albany Methodist is a gathering place for people who want to connect with God. We preach, teach and believe that God can redeem anything through grace as evidenced by the life, ministry, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. We worship, we pray, we serve, we connect, and we grow in faith. We believe that each person’s faith is a journey and it is a journey we travel together. Though we all have different backgrounds and travel on our own unique paths every day, this church pulls together under one unifying goal – we want to be connected to God.
what to expect
Dress in whatever makes you comfortable and fits with your schedule before or after worship. Please plan to enjoy a cup of coffee and the “best snacks ever” in our Cafe.
Classical Christian Worship Services at 8:30 and 11am
At both traditional services, we worship God through congregational hymn sings led by piano or organ, beautiful anthems sung by our choir, the reciting of scripture, pastoral prayer and an inspiring sermon. Our 8:30 worship is in our smaller sanctuary, and our 11am worship happens in our larger worship center. All of our services are family friendly. At 9:30 or 11am, your child (ren) are welcome to come to our nursery (under age 3) or K-motion! Children’s worship program; but they are also welcome to come into worship with you. If your child chooses to stay with you, please ask the ushers to give your child an activity/coloring clip board. The 9:30 and 11am services are on video in the lobby, which can be comfortable when caring for babies, or for anyone that needs a soft seat.
Redemption! Worship at 9:30am
In this service, we aim to connect you to the redeeming power of God through music, fellowship, prayer and teaching. Come and experience this powerful hour of worship. The Redemption! Band leads us in praise with songs from many different genres including jazz, blues, gospel, folk and Christian Contemporary rock. We invite you to let each song, prayer and lesson lift you each Sunday morning. Again, children are welcome in all our worship services, but they may choose to come to our nursery (under age 3) or K-Motion! Children’s worship program. If your child chooses to stay with you, please ask the ushers to give your child an activity/coloring clip board. The 9:30 and 11am services are on video in the lobby, which can be comfortable when caring for babies, or for anyone that needs a soft seat.
Worship experience for Children and Youth
At New Albany Methodist, we believe that children are the future of our faith. We make special efforts to welcome, love and teach children that God loves them unconditionally.
Children ages 3 and under are invited to join you in the worship service or are welcome to stay in our nursery during the worship hour.
K’Motion Kids Worship
Sunday mornings for Kids age 3 and over
Children ages 3 and over are invited to attend K-Motion!, a worship experience designed for kids. The children will sing songs, learn about their loving God, and will create something beautiful related to the Bible lesson. Please check your children in on our computerized check-in system in the Kid worship area.
All our staff and volunteers in Children and Youth Ministry are trained in the United Methodist Safe Sanctuary policy, and all receive complete background checks. Please note: our children and youth programs are always special-needs friendly If you have any questions, please contact our Children’s Pastor Amy Wood at firstname.lastname@example.org
